Neighborhood Crime Watch

What is a Neighborhood Crime Watch?

The purpose of our Neighborhood Crime Watch Program is to organize and
train neighbors in improving their home security, personal safety, and
in reporting suspicious activity to the Anne Arundel County Police.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Be alert!
  • Know your neighbors.
  • Report suspicious activities and crimes to the Anne Arundel County Police.
  • Educate yourself to make yourself and your community safer.

What should I look out for?

  • Screaming or shouting for help
  • A person being forced into a vehicle
  • Strangers looking in windows, houses, or cars
  • A stranger stopping to talk to children
  • Unfamiliar or suspicious vehicles moving slowly
  • Property being removed from a home when no one is home

How should I report incidents?

Call 9-1-1. Give your name and address, explain the incident, and briefly describe the suspect and/or vehicle.

How secure is your home?

Contact the Anne Arundel County Police Crime Prevention about a free home security survey. 410-222-SAFE

What is Operation I.D.?

A simple process of marking your property with an engraving pen
discourages thieves from stealing your property and increases your
chances of recovering your property.
